This year’s theme for World Environment Day is “Beat Plastic Pollution”, with the goal of raising awareness about the dangerous effects of plastic on the environment.
Established in 1974 by the United Nations to encourage worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the environment, this day focuses on the most important environmental challenges. In 2018, we are called to minimise the usage of plastic and increase our recycling efforts – an urgent issue for Australia, given China’s recent ban on importing plastic for recycling.
At ADE, the most crucial aspects of our work are investigating soil and groundwater, for the purpose of avoiding or remediating land contamination, and waste classification. We remain committed to the protection of our environment through our waste import and export management solutions and the successful implementation of waste recycling and re-use projects by our clients.
ADE is a proud member of the Australian Contaminated Land Consultants Association and of the Australasian Land & Groundwater Association, which promotes the protection, restoration and management of land and groundwater across Australasia.
