His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Environmental) and Master of Professional Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) from University of Sydney.

Philip Ferguson is the Operations Manager of Pipeline Condition Assessment (PCA) as well as being a Principal Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in technical marketing, project management and business unit management in the water industry. 

He is recognised internationally for being involved in projects throughout Australia, South East Asia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Philip’s work has included investigations in collaboration with water authorities such as Sydney Water Corporation, Melbourne Water Corporation, Public Utilities Board Singapore and Water Supply Department HSAR, to name a few.

Philip is a science graduate of UNSW, and Fellow HKIUS.

Andrew is an environmental engineer with 25 years of experience in regulation, policy, emergency management, pollution incidents and site contamination. He has a deep understanding of the needs and priorities of clients facing challenges with both legacy contaminated sites and contemporary pollution events.

Andrew currently leads the NSW Environmental Services team at ADE.

His qualifications include a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from UNSW and an Executive Master of Public Administration from ANZSOG.

Tim Bradley

Tim Bradley

National Geotechnical Lead

Tim has over 20 years’ experience working in geotechnical consulting in Australia and the United Kingdom. His technical delivery focus has typically been in large scale earthworks and linear infrastructure, with a particular interest in aviation infrastructure and it’s unique interaction with the ground. 

Tim’s experience spans across road, rail, aviation, water, energy generation and transmission, natural resources, and commercial, industrial, and residential development. In addition to his engineering interests, Tim has significant experience in business and team leadership and management, having held a number of previous leadership roles across market sectors, multi-disciplinary groups, and geotechnically focussed teams.

Tim’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from UNSW, and a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW.

Marjetica McAuley

Marjetica McAuley

State Health & Safety Lead (NSW)

Marjetica has over 30 years’ experience in the environmental and process engineering consulting arena with extensive and broad understanding in technical review, project and portfolio management, continual improvement, good governance and in the teaching-learning spaces of specialist secondary, tertiary education and professional training and development. She has been the process engineer, multidisciplinary project manager or project director in a wide range of projects, including: formulating the earliest NSW policies for PCBs, hazardous materials, wastes, and Industry Guidance; hazardous materials, asbestos removal and management plans; contaminated site investigations; water treatment and re-use; design/provision of technical and operational training programs; embedding EMS, QA and project program & management protocols. Having lived and worked in NSW, the UK and SE Asia, she has held positions within UNSW academia as a Consultant and with multinational, multidisciplinary organisations: in NSW as Petroleum Lead; within a leading UK civil contracting firm as Principal Environmental Engineer, latterly Tenders and Projects Manager.

Marjetica is currently the State Health & Safety Lead for NSW.  ADE’s Health & Safety Services department delivers solutions across hazardous building materials, air quality, lighting, noise & vibration assessments, hazard and exposure risk assessments, and wields a strong team of SafeWork NSW and ACT – Licenced Asbestos Assessors supported by a growing contingent of asbestos and occupational hygienists.

Her qualifications from UNSW include a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons) and a Master of Engineering by research in nanofiltration and industrial wastewater treatment.

Santo Ragusa is a Principal Environmental Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in the environmental field with a broad science background in academia and industry. Santo has technical specialist expertise in assessment and remediation of contaminated land and groundwater, having developed innovative techniques to conserve/reuse water and rehabilitate sites using chemical and microbiological methods. He has expertise in landfill compliance monitoring and reporting, in addition to development of waste exemptions and orders.

His qualifications include Bachelor of Science (1st Class Honours) and Doctor of Philosophy (Applied Science). He is also a Certified Environmental Practitioner in Site Contamination (CenvP, SC 41129).

Stephen Bowly

State Environmental Lead (NSW)

Stephen is an environmental consultant, practicing for over 25 years in Sydney, who is committed to making a better environment for New South Wales and empowering his colleagues to be the best they can be. He understands the range of environmental issues currently faced by industry and government and is able to create and manage environmental teams to assess, solve and deliver the best environmental outcomes.

He has managed and been involved with some of Australia’s most significant environmental projects including: Defence Williamstown PFAS groundwater contamination, Orica Botany chlorinated and mercury contamination, BHP Newcastle steelworks site remediation and Maralinga nuclear testing ground remedial works.

Stephen has the capability to project manage large and complex projects and collaborate with various stakeholders and regulatory agencies to ensure gainful environmental outcomes. He currently manages an array of projects, undertaking contamination, waste and ecological assessments, as well as managing demolition and remediation works – and he loves his job!

Shi Kai Lam

Shi Kai Lam

Principal Occupational Hygienist

Shi Kai has over 40 years of experience in Australia and overseas in a variety of fields such as OH&S legislation enforcements, occupational hygiene consultancy, asbestos analysis, training and teaching, and risk assessments.

He has recently been appointed as a lecturer by several tertiary institutions, including at the University of Greenwich in the UK and the University of Western Sydney.

Shi Kai has been certified in Australia, the USA and Hong Kong, with his particular specialties being in dust and chemical hazards evaluation and mitigation, as well as training course development in the relevant fields.

Joseph San Martin

Joseph San Martin

State Geotechnical Lead (VIC)

Joseph is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer and the State Geotechnical Lead in Victoria. He has extensive experience in providing value-based geotechnical engineering solutions for projects of various sizes and scopes,  across both the public and private sectors.

Joseph is committed to driving innovative and sustainable solutions within all project phases through technological improvements in the geotechnical field and laboratory testing to deliver bespoke outcomes.

Joseph has worked in a large number of prominent projects within Australia including rail and road infrastructure developments, waste management and land reclamation works and major urban developments. His level of experience has him focused on the delivery of major ADE geotechnical projects that require specialist geotechnical involvement and collaboration within client teams.

Joseph has obtained his Honours (BEng) and Master’s Degree (MEng) in Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure), majoring in Geotechnical, from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne. His most recent accomplishment is rapidly growing the Victorian geotechnical team with highly experienced consultants and technicians and further establishing a regional office in Bendigo.

Dr. Matthew Askeland

State Environmental Lead (VIC)

Matthew Askeland is an environmental professional engaged in the resource recovery and circular economy sector specializing in the management of emerging contaminants. Matthew has made it his mission to overcome the barriers presented to the circular economy by contamination, to the ends of maximizing resource recovery and circularity while minimizing contamination risks.

Matthew presently leads our Victorian Environment Practice which includes the Victorian Environmental Services Business Unit, as well as a specialist National Business Unit, Emerging Contaminants, Treatment Remediation and Research (ECTRR).

Historically Matthew has been active in the consultancy sector as a contaminated site specialist, where he holds key expertise in the delivery of contaminated land and water solutions, including environmental investigations, waste management and remediation. Here Matthew has been focused on tackling multiple elements within the PFAS risk management practice. These include site characterisation, risk mitigation, and the development of new PFAS management tools (treatment technologies and analytical tools) for deployment in effective PFAS management strategies.

Principal Environmental Consultant & Business Unit Manager (ECTRR) (VIC)

Tim brings over 23 years’ experience and a blend of commercial and technical consultancy skills, ensuring that his approach is client focused and advice is collaborative and pragmatic.

He offers a broad range of experience, specialising in project management, business management, environmental due diligence, contaminated land assessment, hydrogeology and resolving the constraints of contamination to the circular economy. He has worked for wide-ranging types of clients, in numerous project sectors, on highly diverse types of sites and in four global regions comprising UK, Eastern Europe, USA and Asia Pacific.

Tim’s previous experience has exposed him to all stages of the environmental consultancy services lifecycle and multidisciplinary working, and this is complemented by a strong set of analytic, problem-solving and innovation skills. He is currently Business Unit Manager for ADE’s Emerging Contaminants, Treatment, Remediation and Research team, working on the cutting edge of the environmental industry, helping find solutions to some of the most challenging emerging contaminant problems facing the planet.

Massoud Eshraghi

Massoud is a seasoned technical expert with a remarkable career spanning over 20 years. He has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in managing Occupational Health, Hygiene & Safety, as well as Human Factors (HF) risks within various industries, including Rail, Oil & Gas, Mining, and Construction.

Massoud’s extensive experience includes holding key positions such as Manager of Occupational Hygiene and Human Factors at John Holland, Senior Corporate Adviser for Occupational Hygiene & Human Factors at Woodside Energy & Qatargas, and Superintendent for Safety and Hygiene services at RioTinto Yarwun in Queensland. Notably, he also led the Occupational Hygiene efforts for the Copper and Uranium Mine and process plant at Olympic Dam, South Australia.

With postgraduate qualifications in Occupational Hygiene and a background in engineering, Massoud possesses a robust skill set that enables him to excel in his field. His expertise has earned him prestigious recognitions, including being a Full member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH), a Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH-AIOH), and a Full member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA).

Over the course of his career, Dr. Dobrovolsky has consistently demonstrated a capacity for pioneering solutions and fostering collaborative environments, contributing to ADE’s growth in becoming a leading environmental consultancy. His ability to navigate complex challenges and his dedication to achieving the highest standards of excellence are reflected in ADE’s client outcomes across the globe. 
 
His qualifications include a master’s degree in Hydrogeology from Kyiv State University, complemented by a PhD Degree in Environmental Geochemistry conferred by the Institute of Environmental Geochemistry at the National Academy of Science of Ukraine.
