On Tuesday 28th February, some of our NSW team set out onto Sydney Harbour for Clean Up Australia Day. The morning was spent kayaking around Lavender Bay and enjoying the view whilst the team did their part in picking up litter throughout the harbour. In total, ADE was able to collect 6.5kg of rubbish over the day!
This year, the official Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 5th March. The initiative aims to inspire and empower communities all around Australia to ‘clean up, fix up and conserve’ the environment. Over the last 33 years, over 20 million Australians have donated their time as part of Clean Up Australia activities – that is over 38.5 million hours of volunteer time donated to activities and events that have and will continue to benefit our environment.
